Ski resorts have started making snow for the 2012-2013 ski season. Every fall brings a friendly battle among local ski areas to see who will open first for the ski season. Only time will tell, but as of now Copper Mountain, Loveland Ski Area and Arapahoe Basin have begun firing up the snowmaking machines.
