The Breckenridge Rodeo Has Kicked Off – Don’t Miss It!
Breckenridge’s new rodeo has been a huge success thus far with a sold-out, packed house at the inaugural event on its opening weekend. This Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA)-sanctioned event has welcomed high-caliber cowboys competing in bareback riding, team roping, rodeo, bull riding and more fun and entertaining events for the family. The PRCA event is not only entertaining to watch, but it’s a chance for professional competitors to qualify for the national competition in Las Vegas. The rodeo circuit in the high country is Beaver Creek on Thursday, Steamboat on Friday and Breckenridge on Saturday and Sunday. Pay out for the local competition on the inaugural weekend was $14,000. The National’s in Vegas pays out more than $5 million. The Breckenridge Rodeo runs on Saturdays and Sundays through Labor Day weekend.
