As we approach the end of our selling season a quick review of the local market statistics indicates a much more active and productive year this year compared to 2010. Right now there is a grand total of 3648 listings in our MLS computer. That includes everything - single family, condos, townhomes, duplexes, land and business opportunities. Last year at this time, the grand total was 5608 listings. That’s a decrease of 35% in overall inventory. Looking at the Breckenridge market, we now have 356 homes listed for sale in the Breckenridge area. Last year at this time there were 393 homes listed. That’s a decrease of about 9.5%. And, last year we had about 427 condos listed for sale in Breckenridge. This year right now there are about 340 for sale, a decrease of about 20%. What about sales ? Last year there were about 95 homes sold by October 1. This year about 138 homes have sold. That’s an increase of about 48%! So listing inventory is down 20–30% depending on the type of pr...

It's Breckenridge Ski Resort's 50th Anniversary this year, and we have a lot to celebrate with 50 years of skiing in Breckenridge.
