Local Real Estate Activity: May 2012 vs. May 2013

In Breckenridge, we saw a significant increase in the number of properties sold in the month of May compared to the same time last year.  There were 27 single family homes sold in 2013, compared with 24 sold in 2012.  Duplexes sales doubled with 7 selling in 2013 versus 2 sold in 2013.  Condos also saw an increase in number of units sold for the month.  In 2013, 18 condos sold compared with 12 in 2012.  Townhomes decreased in the number sold in 2013, with only 5 selling in May.



In Summit County, we saw a steady increase in the number of properties sold in the month of May compared to the same time last year.  There were 60 single family homes sold in 2013, compared with 57 sold in 2012.  Twelve duplexes sold this May versus nine in 2012.  Condos also saw a minimal increase in the number of units sold for the month.  In 2013, 48 condos sold compared with 45 in 2012.  Townhomes experienced a decrease in the number sold in 2013, with only 17 selling in May.
